Thanks to all of you who come on the Halloween ride. Most of the houses that we visited were part of the HauntYourHouse contest, so please take a little time and vote for your favorites at: contest voting
We had a wonderful turnout on a wonderfully warm evening. We saw twelve houses. A great group of 80 riders of varying ages rode the first loop and most continued on to the east end for a total ride of 4.5 miles. A few adventurous souls (7) continued on to see several awesome and scary houses on Bay Farm Island.
We met and chatted with the creators of these lovely decorations, shared hot apple cider, donated canned goods and truly enjoyed each others company.
Thanks to the BikeAlameda volunteers who helped corral the riders and a special thanks to our ride leader Anthony and tail Barbara and their walkie talkies for keep us all together and safe.
On our website, we have a PDF of the tour. The houses will continue to be decorated to night and some for the next few days. Try to take a ride out to any that you might have missed.
